What they eat: White-throated Sparrows eat mainly the seeds of grasses and weeds but do readily visit platform and ground feeders for millet or sunflower seeds. | |
Where they live: These birds live in forests, especially around low, dense vegetation or edges of ponds and meadows. They breed across middle and southern Canada and spend winters in the eastern half of the U.S., as well as coastal California. | |
