what_they_eat What they eat: American Tree Sparrows eat seeds, berries, and insects. They prefer millet and peanut hearts at platform and ground feeders.
how_they_sound Where they live: These birds prefer to live in open woodlands, and tundra. While breeding, they occur in northern Canada and Alaska; during the non-breeding season, they live in the northern U.S. and very southern Canada.
where_they_live Did you know? American Tree Sparrows need to take in a third of their weight in food and water or else their body temperature and weight will drop drastically in one day.
did_you_know How they sound: Their call, a musical twitter, sounds like teel-wit or teedle-eet.
