what_they_eat What they eat: These birds mainly eat seeds of a great variety of grasses and herbs. They tend to visit hopper, platform, and ground feeders, where they’ll eat milo and millet.
how_they_sound Where they live:  Chipping Sparrows live around trees, even though they often forage on the ground. They occur commonly through out all of continental North America, except for Alaska and very northern Canada.
where_they_live Did you know? Chipping Sparrows nests have been found in creative locations—hanging among strands of chili peppers, on a lawn mower, and on a hanging basket.
did_you_know How they sound: True to its name, this bird’s call sounds like a long trill of evenly spaced chips.
