what_they_eat What they eat: Fox Sparrows eat mainly insects, but nyjer, sunflower, and millet will attract them to platform and ground feeders.
how_they_sound Where they live: They come in four main types with different forest habitat preferences, so the species overall has a wide distribution that stretches across most of the United States and Canada.
where_they_live Did you know? The Fox Sparrow is one of the most variable birds of the west, with four main groups whose plumage can range from foxy red to gray to dark brown.
did_you_know How they sound: Their calls include smack, chu-chu, and sip noises.
