what_they_eat What they eat: These birds generally eat many types of insects and spiders, but you can attract them to your backyard with sunflower seeds and peanuts. White-breasted Nuthatches visit tube, hopper, platform, and suet cage feeders.
how_they_sound Where they live: Forests and open areas with large trees are where White-breasted Nuthatches are most often found. They occur from southern Canada to northern Florida and southern Mexico.
where_they_live Did you know? White-breasted Nuthatches store seeds for later in the winter by wedging them into furrows in the bark of nearby trees.
did_you_know How they sound: Their most common call is a loud, nasal yank often repeated a few times in a row.
